Culture Shock

Culture Shock was a CIC I founded which existed to create inclusive arts interventions that worked with the premise that communities of people can be formed and then galvanised by shared experiences and repeated interactions

The organisation ran music composition workshops bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds - everything from a Sufi singer to a Gospel session bass player (and everything in between!). The members met for the first time on day one of the workshop and had 5 days to create 90 minutes of new music which they performed to an audience of 250 people on the fifth day.

Alongside planning and delivery the workshops I was also musical director for the first iteration of the programme.
